A project I am considering starting would be very close to a SDR. RF
in DDS chip and mixer to audio out...
As part of it I will have 2 audio tones out at pretty much any
frequency I choose. I am thinking of 330 Hz because is above 16/120 a
good bit and half way between the 60 Hz harmonics.
What I am wondering is how accurate can you measure the magnitude and
phase with a good sound card (Delta 44 for example). I will have a
reference channel and a variable one for the phase measurement.
I am wondering what kind of dynamic range, gain resolution in db and
phase resolution I could expect using a decent sound card.
