Mike the CD4066 is a slower part look it up on the web The LS is a bit slower and does not have as muck output drive. They will work if you are connecting the interface to a radio IF like 455 KHz. The 4066 may have different pinouts than the 74hc part I don't remember. You can go to TI or fairchild site and download the spec sheets for these parts. gfz

How critical is the component selection for these SDR radios,
can I substitute a CD4066 for a 74HC4066 or a 74LS74 for a 74HC74?
Has any else built the DR2 and got it working?
