Congrats Alberto - this is very good!
I _almost_ have the software running on Linux using Crossover Office
Pro v5.00. I'm not able to make the soundcard give an output, there
are a few issues with the pallettes (which I can see how to make
work) and the screen is a bit jerky, but I think that this is more a
function of trying to run it on a 1.1GHz IBM laptop, which would be
marginal even using Windoze!
Running the software under Win XP Pro SP2 on a 1.2GHz Dell laptop
with a home-brew 432MHz SDR front end using an AD quadrature
downconverter seems trouble free, and I expect to be using that and
Winrad as my main receiver in the 10GHz leg of the Dubus EME contest
next weekend.
If I could suggest a couple of features for the future my wish list
would include:
1/ A variable CW centre frequency - I like to copy reasonably
coherent CW (eg. VHF EME) at a centre frequency of about 550Hz and
decorrelated signals such as microwave EME and VHF/UHF aurora at
about 850Hz...
2/ The ability to set markers on signals so that it's possible to
make reasonably accurate S/(S+N) measurements. It would be nice in
this context if there was a facility to report the mean power in a
given bandwidth.
Thanks for your efforts.
Keep up the good work!!
