Hiya all,
I though that you might find this interesting. Some of you may already
know this. The host IP address of the computer connected to the SMTP
server is always added to the header of an email address. Also, many
ISPs allow you to use their SMTP server without being attached to their
network. On top of that, SMTP does require any password or
authentication, making it easy to impersonate.
Just food for thought.
That's why you should look for SSL IMAP for recieving email and TLS/SSH
with GPG signature for sending email.
