Hi All,
I have been a member of the group for a few weeks but have been lurking in the
background playing with a few bits and pieces I have in the junk box. I have
watched some of the comments on suitable hardware with interest and wondered if
anyone out there has come up with a simple synthesiser circuit. With the wide
af bandwidths available in SDR something with 100KHz spacing and with a
fequency coverage up to 30 MHz would would be suitable for driving a 74HC74
divider/phase-splitter for the lower bands. I have had a look but haven't
found anything like this. I have a memory of having seen a pc sound output
signal (derived from the internal pc crystal clock) used to control a pll/VCO
(I think it was by Ian Purdie VK2TIP) and wondered if something like this
might be a simple way of generating a series of wide spaced local oscillator
signals.
Any thoughts?

Ian
