Ok then, that means the if I can use either i.f. offset then my vfo idea might be interesting. I figure the vfo will be stable since I am using the Colpits oscillator already on the SR 40 v6 board, removing the crystal and installing the cap and coil. Then the board will divide that 8x and that will reduce or divide the effects of vfo drift.
I stil have to finish up the kit today and then I can try it.
