I was wondering if anyone can specifically help me to cross reference this IC "40164" I know it is a DIP 16 pin device. I am not sure if it is a 4 bit synchronous counter or what? If there is another number chip that I can use in its place then that would help.
I am ordering enough chips and transistors to explore SDR circuits and Huff & Puff circuits. I found a good deal on 100 7400 ICs many of which are in the 74HC series which are useful in Huff & Puff circuits for around $7.95. So thats a start hopefully.
