Hey, I have seen allot of DIP and Suface Mount packages with capacitors and resistors like that. If the cap packages are for low noise then thats what they are rated for. When you need a larger capacitance for filtering try using a large value electrolytic by itself experimentally. Ceramics are better in RF though, and should be used to also bypass capacitors with inductances in the foil plates. When building a common mode filter use what the book recommends for capacitors.
