I might have figured out the DRM Transmitter? For some time now I have been wondering how to use the DRM transmitter software. I found specs on a medium wave DRM transmitter by Nautel (the J1000 1 kW AM Transmitter) and in the specification sheet the only thing I found that was different than a regular AM transmitter was the it mentions Quadrature Modulation mode. And so, there was nothing else in the transmitter to explain DRM except for this and I concluded then that a stereo line output to the transmitter from the Dream DRM Transmitter software output is required for the Quadrature Modulator. And this then sounds simple if this is the idea then. And we arrive back at Cecil's comment about exploring I/Q modulation. The Time Machine SDR transceiver schematic then would represent a transmitter capable of DRM digital modulation. I.E. Quadrature Modulation. And this would be interesting for 100 mW medium wave transmitters for low powered community broadcast to start off a DRM revolution in the USA. So far I have not found anything on HD and DAB digital broadcast standards the FCC is looking at for the USA here. I'll keep looking. Dan
