Ok, You might notice this on your radio after a good rain but there can be hum coming from unusual places and it sounds mostly like 60 Hz hum. I suspect then that the earths grounding system in the local area is working differently then. And then there is the electrostatic field around the high voltage wires that irradiate electromagnetic as well as electrostatic energy with respect to the ground plain beneath. So I suspect that here is another way electrical energy is impressed into the earths surface. This energy is referenced to ground by its height above ground plain and by earthen ground though the ground line may have not current in it. But in perhaps 12% of the cases world wide it might be current is flowing although its not suppose to be. Its like the atmosphere and the earth's surface form a large set of capacitor plates. If you take a flourescent tube near those areas with high tension wires over head it can glow. And if the earth is resonating at lets say 7.8 Hz then that can mask other energies fundamental to it, and if everything else is resonating at that frequency then you would have a hard time seeing it with instruments. And vlf travels through the earth and water and the Navy has some realy high powered transmitters sending digital through the earth. Millions of watts on vlf I understand. So there is allot of electrical energy in the earth and around it. At frequencies that where not there over 100 years ago. It is the sum of all eneries that is the thing to ponder. And who knows? And this is way off topic now.
