Back in the mid 90's I build a couple of DDS boards 1 used a Harris 
NCO and a RCA high speed DAC and the other used a Qualcom DDS - I 
believe both projects were in the 73 magazine. I have not seen 
anything from either manufacture for years. I think Qualcom products 
are more oriented to the cellular industry. 

I have not done much with FPGA and similar chips, but I get the 
impression that it may be possible to implement (program) a DDS in 
that technology. I may be wrong here though.
