I am doing a PC-based VHF band SDR Receiver project. I have just started reading somematerial on it when i got confused over an issue. What i have been reading in most of the material is that you require dsp for sdr. My question is that will i actually need a digital signal processor(when i am using the PC) or will i just need digital signal processing in the PC. I personally think that the processor may not be required. Please help me. And i think there is a confusion over, whether DSP stands for Digital signal processing or digital signal processor.
