A Tayloe Detector is made from an analog switch IC. Check out the softrock40
and the
dds_controller Yahoo groups. Both have Quad Sampling Detectors using the
Tayloe
Detector. The softrock40 and later variants are the simpler and are crystal
controlled. Kits
are available.
The dds_controller group is writing software for the 995x board among others.
 The 995x
board is a USB controlled DDS RF generator and a QSD circuit that works at
least from 160
meters through 6 meters(the RF generator works to 160 MHz or higher). The PCB
only is
available. You must get your own parts from DigiKey and mini-circuits lab.
Also, the 995x
has very fine(.0196") pitch IC's to solder. The softrocks use nothing smaller
than a
SOIC(.05" spacing).
