It looks like there is more than 2 pins off. The outputs are different, several input pins are different, and the addressing inputs are also different. There is also the issue that the 74hc4052 is a much slower chip so it will run out of steam at a lower frequency compared to the 3253. If you need a pin for pin conversion I can send you that tomorrow during my lunch time, it's way too late now.
