Joe

Tnx for your mail.

Iam not using the par. port to control the dds. Iam using the serial port.

I modified the porttalk.dll.

This dll is used by the powersdr software.

When a new release of powersdr is released i simple put my own porttalk.dll
in the directory of powersdr software and iam back in business.

The porttalk receives the commands from the powersdr software and iam
converting it to serial commands.

These commands are received by a pic microcontroller which controls the dds
(AD9854).

On my website http://home.hetnet.nl/~johan.maas/ (unfortunately in dutch)
you can find the code and the further description.

So i dont think that iam of much help....but i think there are more people
who are willing to step over to the AD9912....so you need to wait or try to
do it yourself.

Hope i made it clear,

Hi Johan,

My name is Joe I'm located near Chicago, I saw your post in Yahoo
Groups about your homebrew Flex. I have also built one based on
the SDR 1000 citcuit using the AD9854 with control via the printer
port. Do you plan on changing yours to the AD9954-9912?
I would lke to try a different DDS but no one on this side of
the pond has modified the SDR code yet are you going to try?
I'm interested because we do had a existing proven board for the
AD9954.
