A question to you all about the use of a USB knob. The two major presences in this area are the Griffin Powermate and the ShuttleXpress. Should you choose one, which would be that ? And why ? I am asking as I have in plan to add USB knob support to Winrad, and would like to hear from somebody who has used both which one, in his opinion, is more adequate for the task of tuning a software radio. Don't forget that those knobs have also peripheral buttons that can be assigned to various functions, and so also the easiness of pushing them is important.
I have been told that video editing people prefer the ShuttleXpress, but IMHO their modus operandi is different from that of a radio amateur tuning a frequency and selecting e.g. which demodulation mode to apply. Thanks. 73 Alberto I2PHD
