Yes, it looks like it is working OK now, thanks for the advice Alberto,

Now I need to get used to all of the settings...

CW and SSB seem straight forward enough, but the FM side has me 
scratching my head a bit.

I heard two stations on 70.475MHz this evening, one a near neighbour and 
another station a few km away.  Using the SDR-IQ and Winrad the audio 
sounded poor through the built in sound card on the PC and the display 
showed the frequency modulation OK, but not very strong.  However, if I 
unplugged the transverter from the SDR-IQ and used my TS2000X on 
28.475MHz with the mode set to FM, the received audio was much better. 
Even better if I set the TS2000X to narrow band FM, as I think both 
stations were using narrowband FM anyway.

I'm sure it's something I've not set up properly yet, but I don't think 
I'll be using Winrad to decode many NBFM signals anyway.  HI.
