I forgot to say something about my antenna.  It's an MFJ-1788 "Super Hi-Q 
Loop".  For those who scoff at small antennas, its the best HF antenna I've 
ever owned (I've never had a beam).  I've worked New Zealand on 5 W of PSK-31 
(15 meters, back when we had sunspots).  It's mounted horizontally, just above 
the roofline of a 2-story house, probably 25 feet above the ground.
