Turns out at least one of the problems wasn't the LD-1, it was the USB cable. Intermittent. I bought the USB cables on Ebay, and see now that was a mistake. If you bought a USB cable from me, I will be issuing you a refund today or tomorrow. If you have one, please throw it away.
