As you know in Winrad the mouse cursor represents the (suppressed) carrier frequency and needs to be pointed/clicked just a tad (1 tad=250Hz) below (USB) or above (LSB) to get the signal roughly tuned. In Winrad the assumption is then made that the carrier is mostly on 1KHz integers - so it tunes to the nearest KHz from where the mouse was pointed. Many times this will be spot on.
