Sorry, I haven't gotten around to testing this yet. Should I revert the
-03 patch and apply this one instead? By the way, the -03 patch does slow
down my system too much from time to time, especially when watching programs
containing DVB subtitles, which are mapped to OSD by the subtitles plugin.

I'm not familiar with the code, but I would tend to believe it does not.
When I did my weekly EPG scan (looking for programs to record) today and
was changing pages in the EPG menu, a few times the old page quickly
flashed (for one field or frame) immediately after the page was redrawn.
