Hi,

I recently learned about the softdevice ShmClient option. This is perfect
for me since I want vdr running in the background to record shows and if I
want to watch TV, I can launch the client.

1. The ShmClient does not seem to honor the cropping setting. Perhaps this
is part of it not being able to access the "SetupStore"? I'd like to crop
the first line from the top, usually I see a bunch of flickering there.

Can I compile in an option in the ShmClient to get it to remove the top
line? Any otherways to accomplish this?

2. When using ShmClient, the image on the screen is shifted down and to
the right by 20-30 pixels (it looks like). When using softdevice -vo xv,
the image looks correct (without any strange offsets).

If I set the post processing quality (with post processing off) to medium,
and/or turn on mirroring, the image pops back to the place where I would
expect it (same place as running -vo xv). Anyway to get the ShmClient's
output to match the standard -xv output?

If ShmClient cannot be fixed or made to do any of this, is there a way to
suspend the -vo xv output, and then resume it later?

Thanks,
CR.
