Apparently, I have the same problem as Per. The same symptoms, some additional
infos:
Standard mpeg2 movie, nothing exceptional:
ffplay works:
gentoo Filmy # ffplay -stats Asterix-A.mpg
Input #0, mpeg, from 'Asterix-A.mpg':vq= 0KB sq= 0B
Duration: 01:21:11.8, start: 0.264656, bitrate: 4658 kb/s
Stream #0.0[0x1e0]: Video: mpeg2video, yuv420p, 720x576, 4955 kb/s, 25.00
fps(r)
Stream #0.1[0x1c0]: Audio: mp2, 48000 Hz, stereo, 192 kb/s
2.29 A-V: -0.015 aq= 44KB vq= 1291KB sq= 0B
(and everything is ok.)
tcprobe from transcode detects all parameters correctly as well:
gentoo Filmy # tcprobe -i Asterix-A.mpg
[tcprobe] MPEG program stream (PS)
[tcprobe] summary for Asterix-A.mpg, (*) = not default, 0 = not detected
import frame size: -g 720x576 [720x576]
aspect ratio: 4:3 (*)
frame rate: -f 25.000 [25.000] frc=3
PTS=0.2647, frame_time=40 ms, bitrate=5586 kbps
audio track: -a 0 [0] -e 48000,16,2 [48000,16,2] -n 0x50 [0x2000] (*)
PTS=0.2647, bitrate=192 kbps
-D 0 --av_fine_ms 0 (frames & ms) [0] [0]
but softplay:
./vdr -P "softdevice -vo xv: -ao
alsa:" -P "softplay --media-path /var/Data/Filmy"
PLDBG: Thread started: SoftPlayer

PLDBG: ~cSoftControl()

So, contrary to ffplay, softplay did not detect ANY videostream and took 0.0
as mp3 audiostream instead! There is something seriously wrong...
