Hi everyone, I'm pleased to announce a drinks meet up for the Softimage user group in London next week. It'll be on Wednesday 25th July at 7pm, upstairs at The Wheatsheaf pub.
http://www.softimagecreatives.com/siclondon/?page_id=955 Following the overwhelming feedback we received from the last event, we've agreed to use this meeting to consult the putting together of a survey to poll users about how they'd like to see Softimage improve. After the event, we'll design the survey and send it out to everyone in the community to fill in. We'll then collate the results, and send the data directly to the Softimage development team as well as publishing it on our website for all to see. In a nutshell; it'll be a survey designed by the community, for the community, and we hope that it gives Autodesk some quality feedback of how we'd like Softimage to move forward. We're planning to send the final survey to everyone, not just the London user group, so no matter where you are, please feel free to contribute your views and opinions using the online form (see below) or our website. Note that the form linked to below isn't the actual survey, it's just a way for us to understand the breadth of opinion, and it'll be part of helping us design the survey that we'll send out in a few weeks time. Those who registered for the event in May will have already received an email, but for those who didn't, make sure you check it out below as it has all the links and details. Thanks for your support. All the best, Andy - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dear Softimage Creative, It's been nearly two months since the amazing event we had back in May, and you may have been wondering what we've been up to. Fear not! We've been listening to your feedback, and now we're ready to take the next step. So what's next? Well, we're announcing an informal drinks meeting upstairs at The Wheatsheaf pub (which is right opposite where we held the last event at Jerusalem). It's going to happen at 7pm on Wednesday 25th July. That's just over a week away. There's no need to register. We've approached Autodesk and asked them if we can provide feedback about Softimage and it's future development. When I say "we", we actually mean YOU! It just so happens that this is perfect timing in the release cycle of Softimage. If we can give Autodesk quality information and feedback about Softimage now, there's a good chance of us influencing the development over the coming year. As ever, there are no guarantees or promises, but I'm sure you'll agree that this is a great opportunity. So how are we going to gather this information? The plan is for it to be a two step process. First, we meet for drinks on the 25th and you tell us how you'd like Softimage to move forward. This will help us design a survey that we will send out to a wider audience. The survey is the second part of the process and is what we use to gather the information that will eventually get sent to Autodesk. To get the conversation started, we'd like everyone who comes along on the night to think of the top 5 things that you'd add, fix, or change in Softimage. If you have some suggestions for survey questions too, then we'd love to hear them. We'll hand out forms so that you can tell us your thoughts on the night, but if you can't make it, you can use this online form (http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PGXLTT3), or contact us at any time via our website (http://www.softimagecreatives.com/contact) Get the full details and latest news for this event on our website http://www.softimagecreatives.com/siclondon/?page_id=955 Finally, thanks to everyone who filled in the survey about the event we held in May. The results are now online here: http://www.softimagecreatives.com/siclondon/?page_id=928.
