Motion capture combined with particle F/X is hardly a new thing. Am I just imagining things or have people been doing animations like both of them for many years?
I just don't think the Quayola work can really be pointed at as being something that was never done before and that no one previously had explored that same concept. Credit should be given properly however, on that we all agree. Not surprising considering it was posted by the agency and not the studio that actually did the work.
