I'm with you Stefan! First thing I did when put to a windows-workstation again,
was to turn everything off (I'm using Fluxbox on Linux normally, so I feared all
that fancy stuff would make me epileptic). Unfortunately some glitches appeared
in the curve-editors inside SI and Max when Aero was turned off. There is a menu
somewhere where you can edit the bordersize, so it doesn't look that clumsy....
A collegue also showed me that you can edit  the window-size of the
commandline-terminal (wow!!), but it sucks big time anyway :/
I have VirtuaWin running for virtual desktops, it gets the job done.
