I had this one a while back. Probably it's this:
Networkmanager is adding a line to /etc/hosts ....delete it or make it a
comment and everything runs as it should.
First line should start with 127.0.0.1 .....

A misconfigured /etc/host can also be the reason for core dumps on
startup... I ran into this later :/
