I'm glad that this found you Olivier. And yes, LK Skinner is basically a sophisticated cage/hull deformer. It has the ability to use multiple objects at once, to weight the skinning by weight maps and ice attributes, to sample a greater area of the skinned to mesh, and to be combined with multiple instances of itself, to skin different parts of the object to different other objects.
