There is a standalone of Krakatoa (still?) in beta, which brings a lot to the table. However, last time I looked at it the magmaflow editor was not included in the standalone, which is a bit of a kick in the guts.
Re: Fury... Ben of Exocortex played no small part in the birth of Krakatoa in the first place, but of course fury is a much newer tool so it lacks the depth and complexity of a tool like Krakatoa. But I've used it to good effect in a number of productions, both commercial and feature film, and it's speed made certain VFX possible which just wouldn't have been feasible otherwise due to time/farm limitations. Neither Fury nor emRPC have really been given the spotlight they deserve given how much they have to offer. When you go from times of an hour per frame for a volumetric or fully shaded particles to seconds or minutes per frame, a lot becomes possible. And 90% of the VFX elements which pay the bills work just fine without the complexity of tasty-but-slow volumes. $0.02 :) On Feb 23, 2013, at 10:05 AM, John Richard Sanchez <[email protected]> wrote: > Yes was looking at fury.
