Yes, renaming the user folder also resets the user preferences.
When you opened the page in Netview, what did you get? Blank white? Or
some colored background?
If you right-click in the page, do anything happen?

I think the problem is that face robot is a workgroup and it picks the
workgroup from the other version of face robot.
