Oh my bad, I checked it again and there is indeed something there just not like I hoped. After putting in the URL you can right click on the compound and choose "Open Netview on URL".
It's unfortunate that one can't utilize the property page's help button, but this is definitely adequate. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.
