I know you cant specifically target all distributions, but at least allowing an easy install via rpms or deb would be a big step forward. Also if it could be robust enough that you don't need to spend days trying to get your .so file and other celestial entities to align so that it will actually work within a decent timeframe. If we do drop support, we intend to continue running automated sanity checks on Fedora 14 for a while longer.
