IMHO, don't worry about what's already logged. That's thousands of items. The benefit of the exercise is to have a completely fresh list that's about what the larger population (i.e. the one not the beta and not already using support) think about *today*. If what was already logged made sense, then it will duplicate it. that's not a problem, it only re-enforces the importance of something. I think the Autodesk approach of having two forums, one for "ideas" and another one for "small annoying things" is better, though. Because you should constantly try to address small annoying things and not pit them against bigger items, so you need to keep these things separate. In practice, because there are thousands of items opened at any moment, there is never one global list of things to do that a team is plowing through. Things are cut down in separate pools about market/areas/strategy and maintenance, and only the recent items can realistically be considered given that that there is a constant stream of new things being logged every day.
