Both SI and Houdini are amazing kits. However, one decides not to market it's strengths or at all while the other fails to do a single bit of quality check on outgoing material.
Honestly, I feel bad for the talented RnD staff behind the scenes who probably worked really hard to get the technology in there only to have it shat on by people further down the line.
