It's apparently possible as there is an argument for it. I suppose I'll be brave and test on my own to see how it works. I'll report back.

    anim layers and ref models. If I store animation for our reference
    models, should we bake the anim down and save an action source of
    that or are they stable enough for us to store into the actions as
    well and be able to reapply them without issue?
