found it :-)
If the correct answer has to be within 10% (so for 1000mb that would be say
900-1100mb) - the correct answer has not been guessed yet.
and for laughs - how big was the installer for Irix?
As for who's going to announce anything... is there going to be an
announcement? That would mean missing out on maintenance so I guess they
rather let it die in silence, screw some more customers while they can.
