I have a question..... If the last release is Softimage 2015 (with ICE). Won't this version just run as long as you have it installed? If so, I would think this is a great opportunity for 3rd party developers to improve Softimage with some great addons, or plugins, that would keep it going as long as there is 3rd party development.
I would point to the great addons, offered by Exocortex<http://exocortex.com/>, as a perfect example of integrating enormously extended functionality of Softimage. The recent prolific ICE compounds, such as StrandTree<http://iceduous.blogspot.com/2010/04/strandtree-procedural-approach-to-tree.html> and Mootzoid <http://www.mootzoid.com/plugin> are just two of many offerings out there. In fact, Mootzoid states on their main page "The Mootzoid plugin development for Softimage|XSI will not be affected by this lame decision." Am I missing something?
