If it helps, my first job was in a mainly Maya based company and I've never
touched Maya at that time. They liked my portfolio and never cared what
software I used. They kindly let me use XSI back again for modeling because as
you know, modeling in Maya pretty much sucks, specially back then.

When we talk about veteran experts that change a little because you want
specific top level skills immediately.

But students? nah, the truth is nobody takes very seriously an student software
knowledge, but their potential and how they use their tools whatever they are.
They only know about 30% of the software anyways, so if they are willing to
study and have a good portfolio I'm sure they'll find a job in any Maya, Max or
whatever but SI based studio.
