If I remember correctly, RCTools has an option for this in the selection filters.

Betreff: Selection of polygons on the –y normal
Hi All

I was wondering whether anyone has any suggestions:

I am making a snow layer to my environment. I am generating a mesh from the below workflow using ICE

https://vimeo.com/22746730

When I generate the mesh from the point cloud using the polygonizer tool, the mesh has a thickness to it. Essentially I don’t want this. I am left with a lot of polys that are not needed on the underside of the mesh and it shall be a very length process to optimize this mesh by manually selecting polys and deleting. I have tried growing a selection out but this doesn’t always work as sometimes when I generate snow that is supposed to look like its melting, I have holes in the thickness.

Does anyone have a suggestion of selecting polys that are on the underside of my meshes.

Thanks in advance,

Jon
