Check the following locations for rogue data:
- Mixer of the offending model(s). Might have to delete the mixer. - Model deltas. Check for entries hanging around and still necessitating a link to the original data. - Check for ICE Caches, image clips/materials/shaders animated via mixer, or other older or lesser used type of data. - Check user’s installation. If they don’t have the proper user permissions, the application may not have been installed properly. - Try runonce.bat to re-register the .dll’s and associated. I would suggest re-install. - Check custom tools for references to data such as plugins, toolbars, shelves, … If the problem only happens on the user’s machine, then try uninstalling then re-installing the application. If the problem happens on everybody’s machine which is tested for the problem, then you may have to ‘cleanse’ your data via deep inspection of the models and mixers. I wrote a custom file format which dumps to .XML to handle these types of problems internally. Unfortunately I’m not allowed to share. Sometimes exporting to .dotXSI via crosswalk or some other format will shed more light on the problem via more useful error messages, or upon re-importing the data, see what gets F**** up so you know where to look for the problem. Worst case scenario, rebuild the scene from scratch by re-importing your models into a new scene, then importing the animation data one piece at a time until you bump into the problem again. [Adding a message title] Hello fellow TDs, A puzzling issue ended up on my desk last night. Some animators are getting a few lines of this error when saving some of their scenes: # ERROR : 2000 - Unable to save object (StoredFCurves) of type ([CLSID\{12A3EFC5-E543-11D2-B352-00105A1E6CE9}] : %SUMATRAPATH%\action.dll) This is the CLSID of C3DAction2.spdl, but this does not help much to solve the issue. Googling the error message does not help either. In these scenes, action clips were used to transfer animation to the characters, but these characters do not use the clips anymore. Even after deleting the related now unused action sources, the issue is still there when saving. When reloading the scenes, the characters are not animated anymore! Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated. François
