This is a question to those who are ForcedXSI2MayaConvertsThatSuffer: If I cretate a Quick Select Set in Maya I have the option to put it on a shelf so I can quickly find it again - so far so good. For some reason it seems some elements can not be part of it - lattices and groups it seems, and the label can only show 4 and a 5th fraction of a letter so it gets hard to find the right one unless you make silly codes and a spreadsheet that explains what is in which :/ Any way around that?
More importantly I would like to make a Select Set which is a permanent part of the scene, or preferably the Hierarchy of my model like Groups in Softimage. Is there anything remotely similar to that in Maya? Morten
