Hi All When I export alembic from Maya using the built-in exporter, even if a material has been assigned it come out with a suffix shape-Material.
Unfortunately in Octane it currently groups all these materials as one. If you select the option to uncheck merge materials with the same name you get one material per object. Is there a way to edit this in the alembic file and write out a new alembic file ? Anyone know off hand if Crate does the same thing?
