Thanks again for all the good advice. World Machine and GeoGlyph it is then - 
GeoGlyph looks awesome.

And I hear you Jordi regarding huge datasets and all that - I have been 
creating terrain stuff manually adding some Mudbox here and there up until now, 
but we would like to take things up a step or two and by the looks of it, WM 
and GeoGlyph will save me a ton of time even when I just need a quick terrain 
done :)
