I have a flexlm problem which I can't readily resolve, and since AD support is
seriously lacking here I hope someone here can shed some light on it.

We have a license server running our FlexLM and RLM licensing managers, and all
other licenses seem to be running fine. My Softimage 2015 ENCSU has over some
time had trouble getting a license from the server. Stopping, Reread and
starting the FlexLM Softimage server has fixed that, but now it doesn't.

The weird thing is my older Softimage 2013 which runs off a separate license
but in the same license file (they have to be combined) works fine.

FlexLM diag offers little help, throwing an error which makes little sense:

This license cannot be checked out because:
A PACKAGE component must be specified.
Feature: 85807ENCSU_F
License path:
C:\Skynet\Softimage_License\Softimage2013_Mudbox_Combined\SFTIM2013_MBXPRO2013enlicense_NY.lic;
FlexNet Licensing error:-125,147
For further information, refer to the FlexNet Licensing documentation,
available at "www.flexerasoftware.com".

flexerasoftware.com does not make me wiser, but looking up flexlm error codes
Iget this:

-125 A PACKAGE component must be specified.

-147 Bad V80_LK signature.

We didn't change the license nor the server setup, so it makes no sense what it
says about the PACKAGE component.

The other one - Bad V80_LK signature - I have no idea what it means. A google
search does not come up with anything comprehensive. I am going to contact AD
support, but knowing them, I want to ask here too just in case someone has any
idea what might cause it.

Thanks!

Morten
