I just got mine going last week too, the 40/80m version, so if you
have specific problems maybe I can help. I had to ask my share of
stupid questions too, and Tony even helped me out with a couple of
replies!

My last problem was how to key this thing? Tony sent me to the
schematic that comes with Rocky, I believe he also supplies a little
interface board. I built mine myself by mounting the parts directly
onto the lugs on the key jack. Also, the newer version of Rocky
supports a straight key, not just a paddle. The version I had didn't
have support for a straight key, after an upgrade it was there.

I also had a problem with mine, a bad solder connection on my part,
but after I found that I got it working. Keep after it!

I mounted the rest of the connectors yesterday and got on 40m during
the QSO Parties and worked IN twice, then WY and AZ all the way from
south Texas. This rig is a blast! No special antenna, a dipole at 28 ft.

For the record, I'm using a Sound Blaster Live 24 internal card and am
transmitting with a Sound Blaster MP3+ USB external. I haven't
figured out how to get my SB Live to do it all yet. Also, there's a
little bit of delay in the sidetone on Rocky, at 20 wpm it's far
enough off to be a little unnerving so I'll probably just use my
outboard keyer, turn off the Rocky sidetone and turn on the sidetone
in the keyer.

Keep after it, it's a blast!
