You can call me a little anal in my testing. I've had that transformaer in and out about 5 times. In fact, I just received 25 more T30-2 cores from www.kitsandparts.com today. I have wound about 5 different versions of T4. It just makes it easier to swap out transformers to see if they make a difference. That's why it takes me about 10 times longer to build something. I have to be able to test it step-by-step and understand the results I'm seeing. What I'm really proud of today is the double-side-band output of the transmit mixer. http://www.golddredgervideo.com/kc0wox/softrock/tx/txmixerboardbuiltte stdsb.jpg That has to be the easiest and best modulator I have seen. It really puts out a clean dsb signal and on the spectrum analyser, it had over -55db of carrier suppression. This was taken with just an audio input to the Line Out jack. I haven't ran it through the computer sound card yet but this really looked good. If you haven't been following the build, check http://www.golddredgervideo.com/kc0wox/softrock/ It details a step-by-step build of a RTTX build with pictures and tests. Leonard www.kc0wox.com
