Personally I like top-posting - it is more natural for me to read a post
without scrolling down the lines looking for a break point that may or may
not exist. Bottom posting is like a having a conversation and repeating
everything the other person said before responding. That said it really
depends on how close you have read prior postings on the thread of interest
and since I am a good reader with a half decent memory I can flow through
the threads and pick what I need to know

As far as I am concerned the response to a posting can be written without
any of the previous posts retained. It saves a lot of redundancy but then I
am from the old school when we used to use type writers and retyping snips
was called quoting. The best approach seems to be to ignore what is going
on today because it will surely change tomorrow.

Strange how the internet seems to have its own form of etiquette and now
there is texting, wonder what new and wonderful changes that will bring. My
daughter tells me texting is really great especially if your spelling is
bad. LOL ;-)

Don't get mad - I am just horsing around - now there's a phrase that will
date me real fast.

It means:-
a) you don't want to know where Terry puts a cup of coffee ;-)
and
b) a chain of reasoning is unfamiliar to some top-posters.

It''s a bit like seeing someone driving the wrong way down
the freeway and deciding it's a good lead to follow.

A: Because it destroys the flow of the conversation
Q: Why is top-posting bad?
