Good Afternoon All,

The schematic sheets for the production Lite+Xtall v8.3 kit have been
updated to reflect a change to sockets on the main circuit board for
J1 and J2. Pins are now used on each BPF module board for P100 and
P101. This change results in a lower materials cost for the
production kit.

The production circuit boards are in and the first of the production
v8.3 kits was mailed to Robby, WB5RVZ, who is putting together a kit
builder's document. Robby's document contains much useful
information about the circuit functions in the kit as well as
information on the building of the kit. Thanks Robby!

The BPF filter boards are in a strip of four boards and will require
the kit builder to hacksaw between the boards to separate the
individual BPF boads. I use a small plastic miter box to help cut
perpendicularly across the 0.65 inch wide strip and this seems to
work well. If this is going to be a problem for people, please let
me know.

Over one hundred v8.3 kits will be mailed out early next week. At
this date I am uncertain as to when I will have the CMOS Si570
devices that are on order. Kits will be mailed without the Si570
device and the Si570's will be mailed when available to those who
have ordered the kit with the Si570.

Thanks and 73,
Tony KB9YIG
