Hi Bill!

Now we are on to something! I changed the settings to I/Q in Rocky
and I am now getting most of my signals above 7 Mhz (I can detect
some AM international stations below there). In addition, now I can
successfully get the TX balancing to work! I wouldn't have thought to
change this before since the Rocky setup document in the Files
section said to use Q/I, and I am not a computer person so I usually
hate to mess with the settings that others who know more than me
derived.
Now on to two more nagging questions...

1. When I do both the TX balance points and click ok, when I close
and then reopen the TX balance program the sliders appear to be much
closer to the center than where I left them. However, the unit is
still balanced.

2. When I go to Settings on Rocky and set the LO, I can choose
single band (and input the LO frequency) or multiband (where the LO
is grayed out). I had chosen Multiband since I have a SR 40/80 RXTX
but at the suggestion of Alex VE3NEA yesterday, I clicked on single
band and entered my LO frequency. Now when I click on the little
arrow at the top right of the Rocky application box on the screen
(just to the right of the green frequency display), the other three
bands (40 high, 80 low, 80 high) are grayed out. How do I enter the
LO frequenies for all four bands and get the computer to remember
them.

Thanks for this and I hope to be out of your hair soon.

Chris
