Something in the registry is probably being changed. Uninstalling and reinstalling could fix that. You might use regshot.exe to take snapshots of the registry before, and after running the program, before and after reinstall. You can then compare the different snapshots and see which keys are getting messed up. You can then write a script to 'repair' the key(s) instead of reinstalling the whole thing.
